Weekend Recap: Early Christmas Gift

Steven and Aisha
We had a long weekend. Steven took the day off after Thanksgiving so it was four days of holiday all in all. It was really nice and I wish more but he has to work.
Here's my weekend recap:

Thursday was Thanksgiving day

Friday, we didn't do much but we watched Fireproof and went to see Steven's friend Caleb at church. He and other singers sang the songs they composed. He's really good.

Saturday was a really busy day for us! We did errands the whole day. At first, we mailed my application for residency because the office we sent it to said we have to send it to Chicago USCIS. They have so many offices that you get confuse which one to send. After that, we went to a second-hand store and I got to buy books for my nieces and nephew for .50 cents. They're still in good shape. Then we went to different stores to buy some stuff to send home and for ours also. We are slowly collecting things we want to send back to the Philippines. Then we decided to go home first and eat lunch but Steven took me out to lunch. He loves this local restaurant called Cafe Sienna and I love their food also. He took me to the campus park and we ate there. I love that about him. After we finish, we opened a bank account which is nearer to our place. Then we went to get groceries.

Sunday, we didn't get to go to church :(. I cleaned the house and baked oatmeal cake for Steven's mom. We went to visit her. I miss being with my family every Sunday after church, we always hang out together. In the evening, Steven told me my gift for Christmas is already in the house. I told him if he will give it to me on Christmas day, I want to buy him a gift too. He doesn't want me to get anything for him so he gave my gift to me. Oh I was so surprised! It was the boots I liked at the store. I am so excited to have it and it really made me so happy. It was even the perfect size. Steven really knows me, he always amazes me.

Oh forgot to respond to you about your comment on my scenic sunday post.
"Oh wow! Beautiful! I never knew roses would still grow during snow. Are they going to die, KC? "

NO Roses don't grow during the snow.. It's just this crazy Ohio Weather we had.. We had a few weeks that were really warm high 60's and into the 70's and that warm weather tricked my rose bushes into thinking they should be blooming.. and a few of them did. then the very next week if not just a few days later the temp dropped and we got that big snow fall(that is when I took the picture) and yes the roses died. The day after I took that picture they were dead.

So good that you already watched the movie,Fireproof is one of my favorite movie. You can buy Fireproof DVD for 25% off in the Christian bookstore. I think that is Christmas sale.
