Garage Sale

DSCF3930

Steven and I had a great time going to garage sales in different places. It was my first time doing this kind of thing in US and I was really excited. The first we went to was a disappointment. They were really ugly stuff. The second one was the nicest one. She had lots of beautiful things to sell. I got to buy two candle holders for a $1 and a glass bowl for $3. Steven kept asking me to try to bargain but was too shy to do it. The second place we went to was in downtown where the elderly folks had a garage sale together. Steven bought a .50 cents book which he was able to sell for $15. Then I bought a photo paper for $1.50, photo mounting tape for .25 cents, and a scrapbook cd for .50 cents.
Then after church the next day, we again went to different garage sales. I got to buy used children's books for my nephew and nieces, some beauty products, and an NCLEX reviewer (I might need it someday), all for $5. The last one we went to I got a free cake pan, a tenderizer for a $ and a quilting book for .50 cents. We just paid a dollar for all.

It was fun just being with Steven going though other people's stuff!

Party

I'm really excited to join this type of program where they give you $250 stipend and you spend it all you want with any food. The only thing you need to do is record them using camcorders. I really would like to do it for my birthday but I'm not sure if they'll be offering around those dates. I have friends who own camcorders and we could just form a party and talk about the food. It's really exciting! I do need to give a proposal though before they could approve it. Maybe some of my friends can help me come up with it.

Financing

I'm so glad Steven handles our finances. All I have to do is just ask him how much money we have left and make sure I don't spend more than what we have. If I was the one handling all those things like bills, adding up expenses, I think it would really stress me out. We do have an inventory software that we are using but I feel I don't need to learn it for now. Some stores here use it too so if I want to work in shops, I should try and learn soon.

Camping 1

Last July 23-25, Steven and I went camping. We met my former boss Danny and his wife Joan for lunch on the 23rd. It was a good time, they finally got to meet Steven. After lunch, we went to my father-in-law's workplace to get some wood for our campfire. He gave us really good woods and just enough for our stay there. Steven and I just plan to cook on fire and not use any gas stove. Then we went to get ice for our cooler and stored the meat and some of our food in it. Then our journey started.
It took us maybe 4 hrs to find the right spot for us. So many people went camping on the same day that the spots were full especially near Clear Lake where Steven can go fishing. So we had to go back and check other campground for opening. We finally decided to take The Paradise campground but their fishing rule is to catch and release. We can't keep the fish. Steven was disappointed. I was getting hungry and grumpy. Then when we got to our spot, it was a really nice one. It was secluded and we had a small stream of water on the side. This campground doesn't have shower just toilet and they have faucets all over so you can get clean water.
Steven started building the tent while I built the fire and started to barbeque pork chops for dinner. We brought rice with us. I then sliced some vegetables to go with it.

Dessert was smores. Then we went to sleep a couple of hours later. There was no light around the campground so it was really fun. We forgot to bring games with us.
The next day, after some really good breakfast we traveled to Cougar Reservoir to fish.
Cougar Reservoir

The view was stunning! The day was perfect for taking photographs.

This is the place where we went fishing but we didn't catch any. Then we traveled back to our camp and ate some late lunch.

Memory

Mac computer is a favorite of mine now. I used to find it really difficult to use because the features are different from the other computer. I know a lot of Americans feel the same way I do and because of that many use it. So if you're like me and you need a mac memory visit this site to find out more about it. They have the latest gadgets you need for your Mac computers.

Asbestos Exposure

I have never heard of mesothelioma cancer or anything related to it. It's quite interesting as I read it and found out what it meant. It's a rare type of cancer that develops in mesothelial cells. They surround the line of the lungs, heart, and stomach. Those who usually get this type of cancer are the people exposed to asbestos like shipyard workers. One can never know what type of cancer that will develop in the type of work they do. If you'd like to find more about mesothelioma cancer, hit the link from this post.
