Be Secured

It's always nice to hear the words travel health insurance especially when you are traveling to distant places. You will never know what will happen. At least, for me, I feel my family will benefit if it is my time to leave this earth. I always tell Steven to get insurance when we travel. It helps me feel secured too. I know God is my security and He will take care of my family but it will help them. So if you enjoy traveling a lot, you should get yourself insured.

Graduation

I finally finished my CNA course at Lane. It was fun! I had a great time learning and applying what I've learned to people. After completing the classroom hours required, we went to an elderly homes and applied what we learned. My first time was changing someone's diaper. We didn't just changed his incontinence brief is what you're suppose to call it but we cleaned him up too and change his clothes. The smell was horrible. Imagine a kid's diaper that you haven't changed for a long time. I can take a kid's diaper but an adult, it's really smelly. I thought I would throw up so I tried to smell my uniform because it smells bleach.
The next day was worse, we had to clean up someone. She pooped and that was really bad. The smell is unbelievable. I tried to be brave, my friends looked cool so I had to also. When I got home that night, I sometimes could still smell it. It was just my imagination. That's pretty much what our days at the elderly homes were, clean someone up, feed them, and help them go to toilets.
When we went to finish our clinical at a hospital, that was so much better! You could see the difference. The hospital was more high-tech, people pooped too but not as bad. I liked it even more because it was fast-paced and really interesting. I'm not saying the elderly home is boring, I missed the old folks. It's just different. As far as choosing where to work, I need to start at the elderly homes.

Flossing Your Teeth

My husband and I loved using the DenTek complete clean floss. We've been using it for a couple of days now. We both loved to floss so we know which dental floss we like to use and DenTek is one of our favorites now. The hard thing about twisted floss is they untangle easily but DenTek doesn't. I like that it's super thin so it easily goes in between your teeth. I'm glad I was chosen to participate in this dental floss. I would really recommend it.

This review is a result of a feedback campaign by DenTek Oral Care Inc. The recipients were asked to give their honest opinion about the product they received. Good reviews were not incentivized and poor reviews will not be censored for their opinion of the product.

Discipline

Steven and I agreed to help each other lose weight. I need to lose really badly because I want to wear some of my old clothes again. The problem I have with weight loss is discipline. Yesterday, I ate this brownie with my classmates and it was so good. She gave me the rest of it which was bad. Oh, that was the best brownie ever. It's also the holiday coming which would mean a lot of Christmas parties to attend to. I just love the food people prepare here for the holidays. They're just amazing! I must keep my focus though on losing weight. It will be rewarding in the end.

Working at the Hospital

Yesterday's clinical at the RiverBend Hospital was really good. I wasn't even tired. I got to do a lot of things. My CNA was amazing! I wish I will get her again. She really let me do a lot of stuff which I really needed so I can fill up my skill sheets. I enjoy the hospital more than the elderly homes but the elderly homes is still nice. I kinda miss the old folks now. If I will apply for jobs, I will start at the elderly homes. I hope I'll get hired soon. :)
Two more days and I'm done with my CNA course. I told some of my classmates last night I'm confident I will pass the board exam. Now I feel bad that I said that because I don't know if I will make it or not. Sometimes I have to control my mouth and just learn to shutty. LOL! Anyway, I need to study really hard.

Holiday Food

After Thanksgiving, I have gained so much. I've been eating leftover turkey and pumpkin pies. I love pumpkin pie ever since I got to try it in Indonesia. I have to lose weight fast. The only way for me is to get tons of exercises and try to eat less. I have been trying to discipline myself but I always mess up and eat more than I should. I can't fit into my old jeans. Sigh! Yes, it is sad. Hopefully, this coming Christmas I can control my eating. I love Christmas food.
Yesterday, I got to decorate our church's christmas tree. That was fun for me. We are unsure if we should have one in the house. I just don't like spending for one when we have a tight budget. Hope someday.

Excerpts from a Cat's Diary

Day Number 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

Day Number 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

Day Number 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

Day Number 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

Day Number 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food odor. More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

Day Number 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird on the other hand has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time...
